Om Namah Shivaya! Mount Kailash (22,000 ft) is known as a holy site among Hindu, Buddhist and Jain holding significance as the home of Lord Shiva. Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is undertaken by thousands of Yatris every year and known for its religious value, cultural significance, and physical beauty with thrilling nature.

We have came through a long way. Mount Kailash Tour used to take more than 25 days in late 90s. But now due to better roads and helicopter ride, you can make it happen 5 days. This short mount Kailash tour will start from Nepalgunj, then fly to Hilsa and then way to Mount Kailash. This tour will skip the 3 days long trekking (parikrama) from the regular 8 days Helicopter Tour.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01: Nepalgunj

    Pick up from Nepalgunj & transfer to Hotel or drive to Surkhet( 2 hrs) and stay at hotel.Overnight stay – Hotel

  • Day 02: Fly to Hilsa & Drive to Taklakot

    Early morning flight to Simikot (3500m). Rest for few hours and take Helicopter to Hilsa. From there drive to Taklakot. We will stay overnight in Simikot or Taklakot depending upon the weather?

  • Day 03: In Taklakot – Rest Day

    Acclimatization.Entire day free for acclimatization. Short treks will be taken in preparation for the Kailash Yatra.

  • Day 04: Drive to Manasarovar Lake (4560m)

    You will see your first view of Mount Kailash and Mansarovar lake. Drive (90 kms) Take holy bath and perform Puja, Parikrama of Mansarovar lake and we will drive back to Taklakot Via Darchen (4560m) or Hilsa.

  • Day 05: Fly from Taklakot to Nepalgunj

    Drive to Hilsa from Taklakot, flight from Hilsa to Nepalgunj and fly back home.
