Jungle Safari Tour in Nepal

  • Safari Tour in Nepal

In Nepal, you will find some of the most exciting and unique safari destinations in the world. You will be going into deep jungle on elephant back or four-wheel jeep drive

Chitwan National Park
Other excitement is canoe rides on the jungle rivers, jungle walk, bird watching excursions, village tours and Tharu typical dance.

Among the 14 national parks and wildlife reserves in Nepal, Chitwan National Park (932 sq. km) is the most popular safari destination. More than 43 species of animals are found in Chitwan. The one-horn Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Gharial Crocodile, four-horned antelope and the Gangetic Dolphin are the main attractions. Chitwan National Park is closer than others from Kathmandu and easily reachable (only 165 km overland). Bharatpur airport is close to the park. It is only 25-minute flights away from Kathmandu. There are others adventures also to choose to go down by rafting. However you go, wildlife safari is memorable experience you will have for a long time.

This reserve is of course least explored but also can be combined to the trip to India (Sikkim and Darjeeling) and of course for Bhutan breaking the journey enjoying its natural tips. The Safari tours can be made classically in 2 nights/3 days or 3 nights/4 days specially and can be extended for more days as per your interest.

Bardia National Park
Bardia National Park is located in south western Nepal. The park is likely to appeal to those wanting nature studies to be a major focus of their tour. More secluded and less developed than Chitwan, Bardia is alive with wildlife, deer, tiger, rhino, leopard, wild elephants, fresh water dolphins, crocodiles, a variety of snakes and over 400 species of birds are found here.

Tucked away and exclusive, the easiest way of reaching the park is a flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (1 hour 10 minutes) then a drive of 95km (three hours). Kathmandu to Bardia by bus takes 15 hours through memorable scenic country, including stretches of the Terai. Normally we make package trip for 3night /4 days and 4night/5days but we also can make as your interest too.

I made it home safely and even was upgraded to business class for the first part of my flights home from Kathmandu to Abu Dhabi. Which was great.

I would like to thank you for organising everything whilst I was in Nepal. You are certainly Mr FixIt when it comes to sorting out itineraries, hotels, guides, flights, buses, etc. This made my trip run very smoothly without any hitch. I will pass on you details to anyone I know who is looking to travel to Nepal.

I also saw Ben a couple of days ago, he’s fine. He and Kate are expecting their 2nd child next year which is great news, he is really missing Nepal and we are talking about coming back.

Do you have a postal address for Yala Adventure that I can courier some equipment for Pasang to. I have spoken to a few friends at some uk outdoor equipment distributors and have managed to get a pair of boots for him, free of charge which I would like to send over.
I like to help out where I can and this would be a great way to say thank you.

Hope all is well with you and your family

    Regards, your friend
